Q: How much does it cost for my organization to sign up for Donateportal?

A: Nothing! We charge a 10% service fee on whatever amount of money your group makes with us and deduct it out of the check we cut your organization every quarter. So our product has zero out of pocket cost to your organization.

Q: How does a sale make money for my group?

A: Each vendor on our site gives a different commission rate between 1-20% you can see the chart on our site for the most up to date rates. For instance if a site offers a 6% commission rate and a $100 purchase is made through one of the links on your page a $6 dollar commission is earned we add that $6 dollars to all the other commissions made through the other links on your site and cut you a giant commission check.

Q: How long does it take to get my organization up and running on Donateportal?

A: With our automated sign up form on our site your page can be up ready to be making money in minutes.

Q: How is your website any different than other shop for money/donation sites?

A: At Donateportal we understand that the most important part of fundraising is actually making money! We want our customers to make as much money as possible, so what we do is give 100% of the commission rates earned by our site to the customer, and deduct a small 10% fee at the time of each payout to cover our expenses and stay in business. All other like sites say they offer a “free” service but in reality they split the commissions that the customer earns before they pay. For instance they might receive a 5% commission rate from a vendor, but they advertise to their customers that they will earn a 2.5% commission on all sales from that vendor. They have just effectively split the commission earned by that customer in half, so they are taking 50% of the profits. We think that is wrong! We will always have full disclosure with our customers. What we are paid on a commission is what your group will make on each sale. We want all of our clients to experience fundraising success

Q: So we have to direct our clients to Donateportal to shop on our page?

A: They can shop on your page by going to our site and then clicking on your organization. We offer a widget button that can help you to direct people easily from your website to ours. But, we also offer the option for you to directly embed your page into your own so that visitors never leave your own website.
